*Anna Apples are one of Greg's favorite trees for the Valley.

Anna Apple is a remarkable fruit for the mild winter climates in southern California and southern Arizona.
Anna produces heavy harvests of sweet, crisp, flavorful apples even in the low desert.
Good eaten fresh or cooked. Harvested apples will keep for up to two months in the refrigerator.
Anna ripens in the early summer in the low desert.

A Heavy Producer with lots of great uses
Yes Apples do quite well here in the desert. Although I ONLY recommend two kinds. The Anna and Dorset Golden. They are two heavy produces - Harvest in June. Great for apple chips, apple butter, cider, hard cider, wine, baking and eating right off of the tree. Both are self fertile, but you can plant one of each to increase your harvest.

Anna Apple is a star
One Anna Apple tree produces such a large crop that we are canning applesauce, apple juice, apple cider, spiced apples, apple pie filling, dehydrated apple slices and the list goes on! They keep in the fridge for months. I pick on the sunny side first then the north east side last to extend my harvest!
