The entire flower cluster can be dipped in batter and fried, while petals can be eaten raw or made into a fragrant and tasty tea. Q: For the elderberry, how large do they get and whe can you expect first fruit? Thanks!

A: Laura - Great question. This is a new product for us so we're just experimenting. But elderberries are bushes. Can get up to 10 feet tall If you let them. I would suggest pruning them to a height that's harvestable. And I'm guessing you'll have fruit the second into the third year.
