Tropical guavas are one of the easiest to grow of all the tropical fruits. Once established, they do very well in the summer heat. Guavas in Phoenix flower twice a year, in the spring and fall. The flavor of the fruit is best when daytime high temperatures are below 100 F., so the majority of the crop is at peak quality in the spring.
