Q:
Approximately how big are the Flordaprince bareroot trees? I'm trying to figure out if I will need to make multiple trips to pick up trees in January. Thank you!

A:
The bareroot trees will be about 4 feet tall and the roots will be 18 to24" x 6to12" depending on the variety. Picture a tree trunk with a few stubs and a root ball somewhere between a 5 to 20 gallon pot. However, since they are dormant and not in pots we can group several trees together and bag the roots for transport. We've been able to get a dozen bareroot fruit trees plus supplies in the back of a small SUV before.

Are the Florida Prince Bare Root trees out of stock this season or will you have more at a later date to reserve?

A:
From August until the shipment of bareroot trees arrive in January, we place an estimate of the quantity available to purchase online. When the shipment arrives, we inspect and count the individual trees and update our inventory. We usually have more to add to our inventory in January, but we cannot guarantee this until we are done with our process. - so the answer is: very possible.

How tall does this tree get. Is it an ultra-dwarf, dwarf, semi-dwarf, or regular.

A:
Left to grow on its own, the Flordaprince peach tree can grow to a mature height of 12-18 ft tall. This tree can be kept to a more manageable height if desired through regular or annual pruning.

Nemaguard
is vigorous and resists root-knot nematode. Excellent for well-drained soils.
In poorly-drained soil, plant on a center mound and mulch the tree basin with wood chips.
Used for nectarines, apricots, plums, prunes, almonds.
