Q: Are these still for sale for pickup in January ?

A: Yes - there is a possibility for more to be available in January.
For our deciduous trees in the Fruit Tree Program, we accept pre-orders in the fall and winter with pick up dates starting in mid-January. If the individual variety shows "out of stock" or "Put me on the waiting list" between October and January, then we are waiting for an inventory update from our Grower. We will make available any last quantities then. We also have some customers who change their mind at the last minute and varieties become available unpredictably.

Q: Good Morning, how old are the Katy Apricot bare root trees? I know it takes a couple of years to hear fruit.

A: The bare root trees are usually around 2 years old. Don't expect any fruit the first year after planting, and the second year we recommend knocking of the young fruit before they take a lot of the tree's energy. It is better for the trees to focus on growing stronger roots. Then on the third year after planting you usually start to see your first harvests.
