Great question! We have used the asterisk in our product names to indicate that those items are part of our list of Greg's Favorites. On our lot we are using a green circle with a G in the middle, but that does not translate easily to the standard keyboard.

First of all, I want to invite you to join our master course on fruit trees in the desert. urbanfarm.org/rootcamp

We cover all of the key points on growing fruit trees in the low desert. Not being said, here are the answers to the questions below

1. The fruit trees will get to whatever size you plan for them. Up to 20 feet tall. We highly suggest that you keep them in the 6 to 10 foot range so they are manageable standing on the ground. I often say that a peach at the top of the 15 foot peach tree is bird food. Keeping trees prune to this sizes fairly straightforward.

2. Southeast is an awesome place to plant for trees.

3. This is a hard question to answer that I'm not quite clear what you're asking me. And I don't know what your soil is like. It has a lot to do with well. It really has everything to do with your soil type. We suggest a 6 foot diameter basin with 6 inches of woody, mulch, and flood the basin once a month in the winter twice in the summer.

4. We have a strategy for fruit production. First year is about developing the roots. Second year is about developing the shoots or branches. So you'll be doing some pretty good pruning the first year. And the third year is about fruits. We have found it when people followed this a fertilizing schedule they can pretty much count on fruit the third year. Getting fruit sooner than that is hard on the tree.

Michele, we do not sell the trees by the gallon. It's not a very effective way of doing it. As it doesn't denote anything. That being said, we sell his bare root, which means they do not come potted. IF we were going to sell them by the pot size they would be a number 15. Or larger.
