The Li Jujube has round-shaped fruits which are larger than the Lang. Reddish-brown, dry, wrinkled, sweet, and chewy (like dates) when fully ripe in early fall. Jujubes are also known as Chinese dates and produce sweet chewy fruit similar to dates. Jujube trees are attractive, easy-to-grow tree: hardy, drought resistant, virtually pest and disease free. Requires long, hot summer. Very low chilling requirement.
